The  goal of the Office of Accessibility is to act as a facilitator of services for qualified students with disabilities enrolled at Siena College.

The Office will grant the accommodations each student with a disability is entitled to under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Accommodations will only be granted to students who have registered and provided acceptable documentation of their disability to the Office.

Accommodations will not give students a competitive advantage over their peers, they simply aim to neutralize any competitive disadvantage that their disability may cause, henceforth affording equal access. It is the decision of the student whether to disclose his/her disability to the Office. However, it is suggested that students register with the Office prior to the start of the academic year. Although a student may choose to register with the Office at any point, accommodations are not retroactive.
