The Education Dual Major is part of Siena College’s nationally accredited Teacher Preparation Program. The Education Dual Major is designed for students who are interested in becoming certified to teach Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, English, French, Mathematics, Physics, Social Studies, or Spanish.

To be eligible for the Education Dual Major, students must complete the education course requirements and the requirements for a second content area major track. Our content area majors empower students with the essential subject knowledge, while the education major equips them with the pedagogical expertise necessary for delivering effective instruction.
