The Franciscan Mission Office stewards, strengthens and animates the Siena College mission by building a more inclusive, just, peaceable and humane world through intentional efforts that support the integration of our Catholic, Franciscan, and Liberal Arts identity. We embody the vision and values of St. Francis of Assisi by working collaboratively in partnership with all Siena community members to bring our core values to fruition. We provide transformative experiences that are person-centered and relationship-driven to enhance the development of the whole person.

Chaplain's Office

We welcome all to come for a few minutes of conversation, quiet prayer, a listening ear or a fresh Siena College Chaplain's Office perspective. Students are invited to worship at one of our liturgies or participate in one of our faith-formation programs.

Damietta Cross-Cultural Center

The Damietta Cross-Cultural Center works to provide support, services and events that promote diversity in an engaging way.  We seek to empower students to be agents of change by fostering an inclusive community as active bystanders and peer educators.

Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy

Rooted in the Franciscan Tradition and informed by Catholic Social Teaching, the Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy offers transformational education and formation opportunities for the entire Siena Community that integrate classroom learning with hands on service and reflection among poor and marginalized people.

Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Program has been impacting the lives of Siena College students and Capital Area youth since 1965. Through partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, students and youth are matched one–to–one to participate in educational and encouraging on-campus activities.

Sister Thea Bowman Center for Women

The Sister Thea Bowman Center for Women is a leader in providing innovative, value-based programs and initiatives that educate, engage and empower students – in collaboration with the Siena community – to advocate for social justice, gender equality, and women’s development.
