![🛠️ Your Role in the Accommodation Process ✅ Honor all official Accommodation Letters issued by the Office of Accessibility. 📧 Students are responsible for sending their letters each semester — including for newly added classes. 🤝 Connect with Accessibility staff if you have concerns or need clarification on any accommodation. 📝 TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS – What You Need to Know Students must request testing accommodations at least 5 days in advance. You’ll receive a faculty email requesting test materials and time info. Tests are administered at the Hennepin Testing Center. Students get test confirmations with proctor, date, and time. 📤 Submit tests electronically with instructions to: 📧 [Testing Center Email or upload link, if applicable] 💡 Common Classroom Accommodations 🧏♂️ Audio-recorded notes (LiveScribe, Genio) 💻 Computer use for notes or essays (screen-capture monitored) 📚 Accessible formats (HTML, e-books, audio) 📅 Absence consideration (with student-submitted forms) 🧠 Coaching for executive functioning (handled outside of class) 🏡 Housing & Medical Accommodations (FYI) Managed by Health Services & Accessibility. Includes requests for: single rooms, A/C units, ESA animals, special meal plans. 🔐 Confidentiality Reminder All documentation is confidential. Do not ask students for details about diagnoses. Reach out to the Office of Accessibility with questions — never discuss a student’s disability publicly. 🚫 Accommodations Cannot: Alter essential course standards or fundamentally change course requirements.
