Didn't make it to Siena's Open House in October? No problem. We're holding another one on Sunday, November 6, which you can register for now. To give you an idea of what you can expect while you're here, we're doing something we don't normally do—revealing a few responses from the surveys parents and students took after our October event. The Close Knit Community at Siena College is a tight bunch for sure, but the group's name means more than that: think backstitching, casting on and binding off. When the crafty members come together—they try to meet once a week on Tuesdays—there's plenty of yarn to go around.

Just because we often share examples of the top companies Saints intern and work for, it doesn't mean you won't find entrepreneurs here. With resources like our Stack Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and our minor in entrepreneurship, it's very common to run into a self-starter at Siena who is brimming with ideas and motivation.

Interested in accounting? William Venezio '17, accounting major and information systems minor, chose Siena mostly because of our accounting program—which by the way, is offering a really great new opportunity this fall. Now, students have the chance to earn their bachelor's and master's in accounting in just four years; you can earn your BS in three, and your MS in one. How's that for convenient?

Going back and forth on whether to apply to private or public colleges? Since Siena is a private college, it'd sound a little too biased for us to come right out and say private is the way to go—after all, it's very possible to get a wonderful education at various types of institutions. What we can do is share with you a few facts and benefits about private colleges that may be of interest to you.
