Siena's BSW Program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) since 1985! CSWE's Board of Accreditation (BOA) is responsible for developing accreditation standards that define competent preparation outlined in their Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS). Siena’s BSW program posts student outcomes on CSWE’s 9 competencies every year which can be found below.
MSW Accreditation
Siena’s MSW Program was granted pre-candidacy status by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) in the summer of 2025 and welcomed our first cohort of advanced standing students in fall 2025. Our program was granted candidacy status in June 2026 and offered the full 2-year and advanced standing programs starting in fall 2026.
