Pick some classes that you might be interested in taking next semester.

Check for prerequisite courses. Many courses build on each other, so it is important to make sure that you have fulfilled the requirements before planning to take a class.

Check for restricted courses. Some classes are restricted for certain populations (by major, by class year, etc.). For each class you’re interested in taking, check to make sure that there are no restrictions listed.

You can view prerequisites and restrictions on Banner Self Service by clicking the CRN code and catalog entry for more information about each course you’re looking at.

(Planning to study abroad? Try to save the following courses for your semester abroad: CDA (Creative Arts Requirement); CDS (Social Science Requirement); Franciscan Concern courses (CFD,CFH,CFJ,and CFN); major, minor and general elective)

Meet with your advisor
