Academic Year 2025-26 DEGREE CANDIDATES:
Students are responsible for completing all degree requirements leading to their degree or certificate for their enrolled curriculum.
Completing the Degree Application (instructions below) will trigger a review of the Student's Degree Audit. Students should know the specific requirements for their degree or certificate.
*NOTE: If you make any changes to your curriculum ( i.e., add/drop major, minor, etc.) after submitting your degree application or have problems with your application, don't hesitate to get in touch with Associate Registrar Liz Conroy (econroy@siena.edu).
Application Instructions:
- Log into Banner Self-Service > Click on Student Self Service SSB9
- Look under Student Records > Click Student Profile
- Look in the left hand navigation > Click Application to Graduate
- Please select the current term.
- Select one curriculum for this degree application - (even if you have more than one major). **If you need to apply for multiple degrees (BA and BS, for example), you will complete a separate application for each. See below**
- Continue
- Select the appropriate graduation date and continue
- Summer Graduates: August 31, 2025
- Fall Graduates: January 31, 2026
- Spring Graduates: May 17, 2026
- Select if you plan to attend the ceremony > Click Continue
- Select the name you would like to appear on your diploma. If you would like something different than what is listed, select New and type your name exactly how you would like it to appear on your diploma. > Click Continue
- Select the mailing address you would like your diploma mailed to. If you would like it mailed to a different address, select New and type the address you would like your diploma mailed to. > Click Continue
- Verify all information is correct and click "Submit Request."

**You MUST complete a separate degree application for a Certificate, such as Pre-Law, Community Development, Theater Certificate, etc.**

August 2025 GRADS - IMPORTANT DATES:
August 18, 2025 - Degree Application Deadline
July 25, 2025 - Any transfer credit received prior to the Summer 2025 semester MUST be received by the Registrar's Office, i.e., official transcripts
September 5, 2025- Any transfer credit for courses taken during the Summer 2025 semester MUST be received by the Registrar's Office, i.e., official transcripts. Note: All coursework transferred for the Summer 2025 semester must be completed no later than August 31, 2025, to be considered an August 2025 graduate.
August 31, 2025 - Degree Conferral Date (ALL requirements MUST be completed by this date)
Mid-September - Diplomas will be mailed
January 2026 GRADS - IMPORTANT DATES:
November 12, 2025 - Degree Application Deadline
January 05, 2026- Any transfer credit received prior to the Fall 2025 semester MUST be received by the Registrar's Office, i.e., official transcripts
February 06, 2026 - Any transfer credit for courses taken during the Fall 2025 or Winter 2025-26 semester MUST be received by the Registrar's Office, i.e., official transcripts. Note: All coursework transferred for the Winter 2025-26 semester must be completed no later than January 31, 2026 to be considered a January 2026 graduate.
January 31, 2026 - Degree Conferral Date (ALL requirements MUST be completed by this date)
Mid-February - Diplomas will be mailed
May 2026 GRADS - IMPORTANT DATES:
November 12, 2025 - Degree Application Deadline
March 06, 2026- Any transfer credit received prior to the Spring 2026 semester MUST be received by the Registrar's Office, i.e., official transcripts
May 22, 2026 - Any transfer credit for courses taken during the Spring 2026 semester MUST be received by the Registrar's Office, i.e., official transcripts. Note: All coursework transferred for the Spring 2026 semester must be completed no later than May 17, 2025 to be considered a May 2026 graduate.
May 17, 2026 - Degree Conferral Date (ALL requirements MUST be completed by this date)
Mid-June - Diplomas will be mailed
