Siena College is excited about all of the amazing work our students are doing every day. From the classroom to the court and out in the community, our Saints are achieving great things and we want to let the world know.

Merit Pages is here to help us with that.

Siena College has partnered with Merit Pages to showcase the unique, meaningful college experiences of our students to the people that matter most and who can help our Saints discover what’s next. Each Merit page is a résumé that builds itself — Siena creates a page for each student and then updates it with their involvement in key academic and co-curricular programs, showcasing each Saint’s unique experience in a positive online presence. These achievements are then shared with students’ hometown newspapers, government representatives and high schools. Students can also share their achievements with family and friends through social media.

What is Merit Pages?

Your Merit page is built for you by Siena, and showcases your unique, meaningful college experience to the people who care about you ‐ and who can help you discover what's next.

Your Merit page is a résumé that builds itself — Siena creates your page and then updates it with your involvement in key academic and co-curricular programs, showcasing your unique experience in a positive online presence.

When we update your Merit page with verified honors and awards, those updates are shared with your friends, family and your community — the people who can help broker connections when they know about your success.

Add your internships, co-ops, or jobs to your Merit page to convey your real-world experience alongside the academic achievements posted to your page by your college. Your entire story comes into focus on your Merit page.

How is my Merit Page updated?

These updates get posted automatically when you are recognized for certain accomplishments, including making the dean's list, participating in a campus club or activity, landing an internship, presenting at a conference, or studying abroad.

You can also update your Merit page with your work experience, or other activities.

Establishing a positive online identity, with a collection of college achievements, will benefit you as you move forward in your academic career, and later on when you seek employment. Achievements help you tell your success story to family, friends, future employers, and the world.

Why Should I have a Merit Page?

Your Merit page makes sure people find the "good stuff" about you when they search online -- and they will search. More than 75% of employers require that hiring managers conduct an online search for employees before they're hired.

Your Merit page ensures that those employers find the information that makes them want to hire you. Better yet, because these stories are created by your college, it's clear that they're verified and accurate about the great things you've done.

Your Merit page helps you build a powerful, positive online identity with a collection of achievements that will benefit you as you move forward in your academic career, and later on when you seek employment.
