Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor organization for students and professionals in accounting, finance, and information systems, dedicated to academic excellence, professional development, and ethical leadership.

Membership recognizes outstanding academic achievement and a commitment to the financial information professions. Beta Alpha Psi promotes the study and practice of these fields while providing opportunities for professional growth, networking, and service.

Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the highest academic honor for business students at AACSB-accredited institutions. Its mission is to recognize academic excellence, foster professional growth, and uphold ethical leadership.

Membership is reserved for undergraduate students in the top 10% of their class. Inductees join a global network of business leaders committed to excellence and integrity.

Siena University's BGS chapter hosts an annual spring induction ceremony where members are recognized and receive graduation stoles. The chapter also awards a $1,000 scholarship to a student member for outstanding achievement and selects a Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year.

Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity dedicated to fostering the study of business, encouraging scholarship and leadership, and promoting ethical and professional development.

Financial Management Association

Financial Management Association is dedicated to the professional, educational, and social development of students interested in finance, banking, and investments.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a service program that provides free income tax preparation to qualified individuals based on federally established income guidelines.

Siena University students participate by becoming IRS-certified through the Link & Learn program. Each spring, students prepare tax returns and assist clients while gaining hands-on experience in tax preparation and financial services.

Through work in libraries, community organizations, and senior centers, students build practical skills and contribute to Siena’s Franciscan mission of service.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by AACSB International. BGS recognizes a student’s conviction towards high principles and outstanding achievement. Students qualified for membership rank in the top 10% of their class. Once inducted, a lifetime member joins a network of highly renowned business leaders dedicated to high ethical principles and business success.

The BGS chapter at Siena holds a formal induction ceremony every Spring for new members. Friends and family accompany the new members as they receive their graduation stoles.
