Siena’s French major is taught in small classes, providing a well-rounded understanding of the language, its culture and history. Highlights of being a French major include: small classes (conversation courses are capped at 15 students), courses offered in both English and Spanish; class trips; travel courses; film screenings; research opportunities ranging in topic from from culinary specialties to literary to sociopolitical and filmic works.. You'll learn to communicate in French with confidence, interpret text, analyze cultural materials and gain a ton of knowledge about French history and culture. An 18-credit minor is also offered.
