can new first-year students living on campus have a car?

First-Year (Freshman) students living on campus cannot have vehicles on campus. Please visit our website for information on parking and vehicles. Commuter students, regardless of class year, are allowed to have vehicles, which must be registered.

does siena have an emergency alert system?

Siena has several modes of communicating with students during an emergency. The first is our Siena Alert System, which has the ability to send emails and text messages to students. Students should log in at the start of each semester to verify their cell phone number and carrier information is correct and updated. In addition to Siena Alert, the College utilizes emergency call boxes throughout campus and inside buildings that contain flashing lights and a speaker system to broadcast emergency messages as needed.

Where can i find out more information about violence prevention and/or sexual misconduct policies?

Siena College's Title IX Office has the primary responsibility for coordinating the College's efforts to comply with, and carry out, its responsibilities under Title VII and Title IX, which prohibit discrimination in all of the College's programs and activities. The Title IX Office works with students to provide them information about their rights under the law, support services available, and advise them of the process for reporting incidents that may involve discrimination, harassment, and/or sexual misconduct.
