Dear Siena community,

Another semester is in the books; classrooms and offices have cleared out for the holiday break and quiet has settled on the campus. Most of our students, faculty and staff have headed home to enjoy a well-deserved holiday break and special times with family and friends. For those who remain at their posts to keep the campus clean and safe, I extend my special appreciation.

As we rest and recharge for the second half of the academic year, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your dedication and commitment to Siena and its Franciscan mission. I am pleased that we have embraced the celebration of this holiday with new campus traditions that our whole community can enjoy. It helps all of us remember to pause and reflect on what is important in life: a hope for peace; the love of those dear to us; and gratitude for special blessings.

Deb and I wish all of you the best for good health and happiness as we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, and ring in the New Year.

Peace and all good,

Charles F. Seifert, Ph.D.
