Tops in New York – and Top 10 in the United States.

That’s where Siena College ranks among higher education institutions whose graduates have the best record when it comes to finding employment a decade after receiving their degrees.

The job/career search website Zippia crunched hard data from the U.S. Department of Education’s “College Scorecard” to identify the top colleges across the country that set students up best for the job market. The rankings are based on the most recent employment data available (2017-18) and identify those with the highest job placement rate in each state, and the 10 best in the nation.

Siena ranked number one in New York state and ninth in the entire country with an employment rate of 95.13 percent.

“We are very pleased - but not surprised - at the results of the College Scorecard data indicating that Siena College ranks so highly,” said Margaret A. Madden, Ph.D., acting president of Siena.

“A college education is an important investment, and one of the key returns on this investment is getting a job after graduation. We know that employers are well aware of the value of a Siena degree in hiring and advancing employees, and this study provides further evidence that our students and their families can be assured that their investment in a Siena degree will reap long-term benefits."
