“Studying French has always been a passion for me ever since I started learning it in 7th grade. When thinking about college, I knew that I wanted to tie a French major with a Political Science major in order to build a unique international prospective to my studies. The French Major at Siena allowed me to do that. I studied the rich diversity of the French-speaking world and spent five weeks in Quebec City at l’Université Laval where I experienced firsthand the complex cultural realities of Quebec. My French major also allowed me to learn about conflicts in French speaking African countries, preparing me well for my master’s degree in Security Policy Studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs (George Washington U.) and for my summer research in 2019 on WMD laws and regulations in Maghreb nations”.
