Studying the world's religions is a central part of understanding different human cultures. Religions shape how human beings interpret and interact with other humans, with nature, and with what we take to be most sacred. Understanding the roles religion plays in society, politics and economics is ideal preparation for careers in today’s multicultural, global environment.

Siena’s religious studies program seeks not to persuade students to become religious or to adhere to a particular religion. Rather, you'll have the opportunity to explore the historical and contemporary diversity of the world’s religions and develop a deep understanding of the roles they play in society, politics, the arts and economics. An 18 credit minor is also offered.
