Come prepared based on the support you need. Bring the prompt/assignment information, notes, readings, drafts, feedback, and/or specific questions. Remember, it's okay if you are coming to the Writing Center because you need to start!
We recommend you only cancel your appointment if absolutely necessary, AND reschedule as soon as you're able. Remember, if you made an appointment and you thought you would have more "done," it's okay to bring whatever you have!
IN-PERSON
What to Expect
Spend 1 hour with a tutor in Fr. Ben Kuhn House.
How to Prepare
Set some tentative goals/directions for the session. Beginning with an idea of where you’re going can help us work together more effectively!
Upload assignment specifications, draft, and other helpful instructions at least 24 hours before appointment time.
Show up ready to collaborate with your tutor. We can help guide and direct you, even if you aren’t sure what kind of support you need!

If you are at the brainstorming stage, share a blank Google doc with your tutor, with the tutor named as a commenter, and copy/paste the assignment/prompt directions into the doc.

Plan to sign in to Zoom at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to ensure you can connect to sound and video.
