OUR MISSION

We are an inclusive learning center dedicated to providing free writing support to a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and community partners.  Collaboration is at the heart of Writing Center work; as such, we nurture partnerships that explore socially-conscious educational practice in the pursuit of the common good.

  • Peer tutors help with individual assignments and group presentations
  • Our professional tutor assists non-traditional students, international students, and English Language Learners.
  • The Writing Center Ambassador Program develops writing support services in local secondary schools.
  • Our director collaborates with faculty on writing instruction and assignment development.

The Writing Center will begin accepting walk-in appointments on Monday, January 28th. Regular semester hours start on Sunday, February 3rd.

Visit our peer (student) and professional tutors at each stage of the writing process: brainstorming, planning, organizing, outlining, drafting, revising, and editing. Our online appointment book opens the second week of classes.
