HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR JOURNEY TO SUCCESS?

First Year students are automatically added into this program, but upperclassmen can opt-in at certain points throughout the year. Check back here or in the campus Digest for details on how to be a part of the program.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH PROGRAMS I STILL NEED TO GO TO AND WHICH ONES I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED?

You can log into SAINTS Connect and go to Journey to Success under Paths. This will show you what percentage of completion you have met within the program and which programs you still need to attend.

HOW MANY PROGRAMS DO I NEED TO ATTEND?

To complete the program, you must attend 12 programs, 2 from each pillar.

DO PAST EXPERIENCES COUNT?

Past experiences do count, but we strongly encourage you to attend new events rather than just rely on past experiences.

HOW DO INCENTIVES WORK?

When you accomplish each percentage, you will be notified to come and pick up your small gift in the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development (SSU 310). Incentives will be given out at the end of each semester.

Social Responsibility: Students will behave in ways that are consistent with the norms of the College and Franciscan habits of Community but also be able to demonstrate an understanding of and participate in various student and college governance processes to solve issues.

Community: While attending Siena, we hope participating students develop meaningful interpersonal relationships and lifelong friendships, as well as habits of community participation. Diversity/Inclusion: Students will foster a welcoming and supportive environment which celebrates diversity, inclusion, and equity. Students will actively and intentionally engage with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences to incorporate diverse perspectives into group planning and decision making. Lastly, students will be able to address issues of bias, discrimination, and exclusion where they exist.

Professional Development: Students will be able to describe and articulate personal strengths, weaknesses, competencies, and values, as well as translate their Siena co-curricular experience in a way that distinguishes them in their career opportunities while developing effective communication, teamwork, and negotiating skills.

Health and Wellness: Students will engage in activities and create good habits that promote personal health and wellness while choosing behaviors to accomplish short and long term goals that reduce risk of harm. They will also be able to support behaviors and choices that promote a healthy and thriving community.
