Please pick up a schedule of events, your tickets (if applicable), and any t-shirts you may have purchased. Also, make sure all family members pick up their wrist bands so they can participate in the events throughout this weekend.

Join us for our annual SAINTS State Fair. We will have carnival games with prizes, skee ball, log slammer, mechanical pumpkin, photo booth, hippo chow down and obstacle course, a petting zoo, Family Feud game show, and more.

Shakespeare Play: Othello

The Tragedy of Othello, the classic tale of love and jealousy, seems especially appropriate today. More than four hundred years ago, Shakespeare explored issues that—in other forms, of course—still are in our headlines: race, gender equality, personal ambition, bigotry, tribalism, and truth. Will Kempe’s Players is a Capital District artistic collaborative that uses acoustic music, clowning, audience contact, and live effects in order to to create robust, compelling performances.

Blessing of the Animals

St. Francis delighted in God’s presence wherever he found it, even in the least of God’s creatures. In remembrance of Francis’ love for all creation, bring your pet dog, cat, hamster, parrot, elephant or giraffe to our annual feast day blessing of the animals.

Feel free to use this time to explore the area around Siena on your own with your student and family. In your packets we have provided suggestions of great local attractions.

Test out your painting abilities with your family as we provide a guided painting session hosted by a local artist. Refreshments are served for your enjoyment. Spots are limited- first come, first serve.

In keeping with our Franciscan and Catholic tradition, the celebration of the Eucharist is an integral part of our Family Weekend activities. All are welcome.

Dine at one of the many local restaurants near campus. There is a list of restaurants on our website as well as the option to dine at Lonnstrom Dining Hall on-campus ($12.75pp)

Join us as fireworks light up the Siena campus in celebration of Family Weekend.

Siena Night Life Event: Hypnotist & Desserts

Dan LaRosa, one of America’s funniest stage hypnotists, has been engaging audiences in his live hypnotism shows for years at Siena. His comedy hypnosis show will surprise and amaze you as you witness the incredible power of the human subconscious. Enjoy desserts and a night of laughter as you take in the show.
