The Siena 37 Group is a distinguished honor awarded annually to 37 members of the Siena University community—at least 30 students and up to 7 faculty or staff—who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to Siena’s mission.
Membership is determined through a nomination and application process open to students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Individuals may be nominated by others or apply independently with supporting letters of recommendation. A selection board reviews all submissions to ensure a thoughtful and inclusive process.
The Siena 37 Group fosters a legacy of purpose-driven leadership and lifelong connection among members, while promoting a culture of engagement, reflection, and Franciscan values.
The mission of the Siena 37 Group is to recognize and celebrate individuals who exemplify the values of leadership, service, and integrity in alignment with Siena University's Franciscan tradition. Through this recognition, the Group seeks to elevate those who positively impact the campus community and inspire others to do the same.
The Siena 37 Group envisions a connected and engaged network of students, faculty, and staff who champion excellence, foster meaningful relationships, and uphold Siena's commitment to compassion, justice, and the common good—both on campus and beyond.
