Dear Siena Community,

Happy Feast of St. Francis of Assisi Week!

Unlike many saints honored primarily for the works they performed; Francis is remembered and revered for the person he became. On the week of his Feast Day, October 4, we celebrate the vision and values of Saint Francis. He committed himself to making the world around him more just, peaceable, and humane. That devotion is at the heart of Siena’s mission.

Hopefully you have heard me refer to the critical role our mission plays in everything we do. It is at the essence of who we are as a community. By no coincidence, today we launch a brief questionnaire related to our mission as a learning community advancing the ideals of a liberal arts education, rooted in our identity as a Franciscan and Catholic institution.

The results of this survey will help us better understand how we are living our mission and what opportunities exist to do it better.

In the spirit of feast week, please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your feedback is incredibly valued, as are your many contributions to our mission.

Peace and all good,

Chuck
