For the first time in school history, Siena captured the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Commissioner's Cup.

Simply playing games and competing through the disruptions of a pandemic was a moral victory. Siena also scored enough actual victories on the fields and the courts and the turf to claim the ultimate team prize. The overall performance by the women's programs, highlighted by conference championships in soccer and tennis landed Siena at the top of the MAAC's aggregate standings.

The MAAC annually awards an overall, men's, and women's Commissioner's Cup as a symbol of excellence in athletics for the 23 championships the league conducts. Each team earns points in the overall, men's, and women's Commissioner's Cup Standings based on their regular season and MAAC Tournament finishes. The Siena women earned 59.75 points, finishing 1.75 points ahead of second-place Fairfield (58.00). Siena also placed fourth in the MAAC Overall Commissioner's Cup Standings, equaling the athletic department's best-ever finish (1993-94, 2001-02, 2002-03, 2008-09, 2010-11) since joining the conference in 1989-90. Monmouth won both the MAAC Overall and Men's Commissioner's Cup.

In addition to titles in soccer and tennis, Siena's point total was buoyed by second-place finishes in women's cross country and women's lacrosse.

"This is a wonderful accomplishment for our athletic department, and a testament to our women's teams. They all appreciated the opportunity in front of them to compete during this unique school year, and their steadfast commitment to following the protocols allowed our women's teams to bring home a pair of MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, with two other teams adding second-place finishes, all of which contributed to us earning our first-ever MAAC Women's Commissioner's Cup."
