- I play ice hockey. I’ve been in and out of rinks since I was six weeks old. It brings me peace, clarity, and keeps me moving!
- I had the best experience of my life studying abroad in the Dominican Republic while I was in college. I encourage all my students to experience it if they can at Siena!
- Despite being a lifelong 518 resident, I had both of my formative education experiences downstate. I’m a proud graduate from Fordham University and Silberman School of Social Work CUNY Hunter College.
- I have three boys under the age of eight at home! We call it the crazy house. It’s fun and chaotic and always changing.
- We are a no pet house, despite the objections of my middle child whose dream in life is to adopt a dog. Specifically, this giant dog below. Maybe one day, we will have our very own Baloo at home… maybe.
- I do a lot of community work on nonprofit boards. I have been a board consultant, a president of a board, and other leadership positions. It is a great way for me to give back to my community that has given me so much!
- I’m a proud Albany Academy for Girls graduate. While we are not technically the first girls’ school in the nation, we are the longest running. Shoutout to the other 518 girls’ school, Emma Willard for being the first!
- I’m either watching sports or reality TV. Our family are big sports fans! I love the Mets, Knicks, Jets, and NJ Devils. My first date with my husband was to watch NCAA basketball and we celebrated our engagement at a Miami Heat game. I also love Bravo and specifically the Real Housewives franchises. If you are a Bravo fan, please stop by my office to chat! It really brightens my day.
- I am 75% done with my doctoral program in social welfare at the University at Albany. My goal is to be done with my dissertation by the time my 2 year old graduates pre-K.
- I LOVE cooking and hosting people at my house for holidays and parties. Before kids, I ran my Instagram account as a food blog where I explored and tested new recipes. It brings me joy to share food with people! I’m happy to be in a department where folks are always willing to try my new baking creations.
