1. I graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2011 and earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary writing and philosophy. My average class size for my major was 8-10 students which gave me an incredible opportunity to connect with my professors and classmates. The course work really pushed me to develop my writing and analytical skills and the class sizes helped me become comfortable with public speaking. My favorite class was Japanese philosophy.
  2. While at Loyola, I was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse team. During the summer between my junior and senior year, our team took a 10-day international trip to Japan. We spent six days in Tokyo touring the city and competing against the Japanese national team, and then spent four days relaxing on the beaches in Okinawa. It was an incredible cultural experience that I was so fortunate to be able to share with my closest friends.
  3. I never planned on becoming a college coach. After completing undergrad, I went to law school. I graduated from Albany Law in 2014 and began working for my father's law practice (The Rehfuss Law Firm) here in Albany. While I was working for my father, I started coaching the girls varsity lacrosse team at my former high school (Shaker) and fell in love with coaching. When Siena gave me the opportunity to take over the women's lacrosse program, it was a no-brainer.
  4. In January of 2020, two of my sisters and I founded a girls travel lacrosse club program called 518eXcelerate. We field teams for grades 5-11. Despite the less-than-ideal timing of starting a business two months before the pandemic hit, we found a way to weather the storm. Today we have over 150 players practicing and competing with our club.
  5. Siena College is a special place to my family. My father, Steve Rehfuss, grandfather John Rehfuss, and uncle Jack Rehfuss are all Siena graduates. My grandfather, Tom Walsh, uncle Peter Walsh, and aunt Sheila Hepp (Walsh) are also Siena graduates.
  6. My grandfather, John Rehfuss, graduated from Siena in 1942 and was a former men's basketball player. He was inducted into the Siena Athletics Hall of Fame in 1979. I grew up going to Siena basketball games with my family and still go to as many men's and women's games as I can.
  7. I have four sisters and a brother. I'm the second oldest. I'm currently the proud Godmother of my two nieces - Catherine (two years old) and Grace (eight months).
  8. Anyone who knows me knows my dog, Boomer. Boomer is my 3-year-old golden retriever that I got literally two weeks before the pandemic hit. I grew up with high strung Weimaraners, so I was initially really hesitant to get a dog. But Boomer has been my best bud since I got him. He's the easiest and happiest dog. He comes to practice with me fairly often and he comes to all of our home games. The team loves having him around... except when he tries to eat their scrunchies. Paper products and scrunchies are his favorite snacks.
  9. I'm an avid golfer. I learned how to play when I was younger and have become increasingly more addicted to the game as I've gotten older. I'm currently a five handicap.
  10. I went to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert at MetLife Stadium over Memorial Day weekend with my sisters. All five of us wore Lovers outfits. I wasn't a Swiftie before, but I definitely am now. It was easily the best concert I've been to and worth every penny.
