Admissions

Considering an MBA? There's no better time than now to get into it.

Siena College's MBA program, offered through our AACSB-accredited School of Business, is designed for working professionals. You can study full-time, part-time or at your own pace—it's completely up to you.

And you can make it work.

Take if from Siena grad Brianna Brown. Brianna graduated from Siena in 2020 with a BS in Marketing, then hopped into our MBA program where she concentrated on Strategic Management. Read on to hear about her experience.

WHAT LED YOU TO APPLY TO THE SIENA MBA PROGRAM?

What led me to apply for the MBA program at Siena was its simplicity. Not that getting into the program was easy, but there were many benefits of already being a Siena student in the School of Business. I had the ability to waive courses, do a blended semester and I already knew the majority of my professors and the campus!

WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE?

My experience was beyond amazing. Even through the pandemic, Siena made an effort to still enable students to have the best college experience. I was able to go into class and interact with my friends and talk with my professors. I really enjoyed my Global Leadership Management class. This course showed me a different side of the business that I did not get to focus on as an undergrad. It has actually inspired me to work in sustainable business someday.

HOW WAS YOUR SCHEDULE?

The schedule for the program was great! I was working part-time so I had a lot of flexibility, but I know many of my classmates worked full-time. Having the hybrid classes made the work more manageable. We only had to meet once a week in person or online for class for about 80 minutes.

WHAT CONCENTRATION DID YOU CHOOSE? DID YOU FIND IT RELEVANT?

My concentration was Strategic Management; I thought it would pair nicely with my BS in Marketing. I found it to be relevant to what I am doing now. Currently, I work at Albany Medical College doing financial aid, which involves a lot of project planning and budgeting for the different programs.

HOW DID THE SIENA MBA AFFECT YOUR CAREER PATH?

I actually found my current position at Albany Med through Siena. I talked with the recruiters on Career Day and I was able to set up an interview the following week. Because Siena has an amazing reputation, they were eager to hire me—especially since my boss is a Siena alum as well.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THE SIENA MBA PROGRAM TO OTHERS, AND WHY?

Yes, I believe this program helped me rise above! If it was not for the Siena MBA, I would not have the opportunities I have now. The program has helped open my eyes to a new world of business and has inspired me to spread the mission of Siena wherever I go.
