To encourage State legislators to increase funding for student aid, a trio of Siena students went downtown to the Capitol to advocate for programs that help students achieve their dream of a college education.

Jacob Garcia ’24, Pah Qui ’24 and Prince Ndayegamie ’26 took part in the annual Student Aid Advocacy Day on February 14 to encourage investment in the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), Bundy Aid and the Education Opportunity Programs (HEOP). They were accompanied by Yalitza Negron-Rivera, Siena’s HEOP assistant director of academic counseling.

“I am beyond proud of our students who were able to share their stories and advocate for a program that is helping them achieve their dreams. Standing up for student aid helps provide access to college for many that otherwise would not have the opportunity.”
