Admissions

Transferring to a new school? Whether you’re currently at a community college or a four-year school that isn’t everything you hoped it’d be, good news: there’s financial aid especially for you to make the switch even easier.

Transfer scholarships. Yes, they exist!

Right off the bat you’re in a smaller pool of students eligible for them, and colleges want to reward you for your outstanding academics, so do your due diligence and inquire what your potential new colleges have to offer (remember to also ask about endowed scholarships.).

And look below too!

We found a couple transfer scholarships not associated with colleges that are worth applying for if you qualify, and we also listed several that are specific to Siena. (If you have any questions, feel free to email our amazing Transfer Coordinator, Jen Sloan.)

TAU SIGMA SCHOLARSHIP

Tau Sigma is a national honor society exclusively for transfer students, and every year, they award a number of scholarships ranging up to $5,000 to transfer students who are nominated by local chapters. For the 2020-2021 school year, they awarded 67 scholarships, totaling $100,000.
