Troy Farmers Market
The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market is a go to place on a Saturday morning. There are tons of local vendors with fresh produce, coffee, baked goods, and other products, and downtown Troy gives it a really cool atmosphere. It’s an easy way to get off campus for a few hours and explore more of the Capital Region!
Downtown Saratoga
Downtown Saratoga Springs is a fantastic place to spend a day or night off campus with friends. Broadway is lined with restaurants, coffee shops, local stores, and plenty of places to walk around and explore. During the warmer months, Saratoga is especially lively with events, outdoor dining, and visitors coming into town for the Saratoga Race Course. It is an easy day trip from Siena and a fun way to experience one of the most popular areas in the Capital Region.
INDIAN LADDER FARMS
Indian Ladder Farms is such a special place to visit when you want to get off campus and enjoy the outdoors. Depending on the season, you can pick apples, grab fresh cider donuts, explore the farm, or just hang out and enjoy the views. It’s especially worth visiting in the fall and is a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends.
STUYVESANT PLAZA
Stuyvesant Plaza is a super convenient spot to grab food, do some shopping, or just get off campus for a little while. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and stores to check out, making it an easy place to spend an afternoon with friends. With it being so close to Siena, it’s one of the most convenient places to visit.
THACHER STATE PARK
Thacher State Park is one of the best places near Siena to get outside and take in some amazing views. The park has hiking trails, picnic areas, and overlooks with views of the Capital Region and surrounding mountains. It’s especially beautiful in the fall and is a great place to spend a day outdoors with friends.
