Spark Tank is an idea contest sponsored each semester by the Stack Center. It is judged by local entrepreneurs who award cash prizes and valuable advice for Siena students who present their product and business ideas. Six teams from the fall and spring Spark Tank competitions are representing Siena at April's regional New York State Business Plan competition.

“This is my second time participating in Spark Tank and it has definitely been a learning experience for me. As a STEM major, I'm always trying to figure out different ways to approach problems, so I found some familiarity in the business world. A lot of the problem-solving and critical thinking skills carried over and helped me present my idea in a cohesive fashion, and the Stack Center was very helpful with filling in the gaps in my business knowledge."

"I am grateful to Siena, the Siena Spark Tank program leaders Chris Canavan and Mike Hickey, and for my fellow teammate Jared MacFarland. All have provided tremendous insight and support, which made this experience empowering and hopeful. I encourage any Siena student to consider the Spark Tank competition experience, it will challenge you and build you up at the same time."
Todd Rosenfield MBA ’22

"I would like to send a message to all students not to be afraid to present their business models to the public because it is key to be able to communicate about them. Only then will ideas manage to get on the big stage.”
