The Siena Fresh staff subbed the men's basketball team in from the bench to serve dinner and school spirit on February 5.

They offered two kinds of chicken wings: green and gold. Technically, a color is not a flavor, but the parsley and golden barbeque wings fit the theme: Siena basketball night at Massry.

The men's basketball team participated in a "Dining Hall Takeover." They served food, mingled with their classmates, handed out t-shirts, and promoted an upcoming four-game homestretch, beginning Friday, February 7, at 7:00 p.m.

The mini pep rally on Wings Night can only boost one of the better home advantages in division one basketball. The Saints are a perfect 9-0 at the Times Union Center this year and begin their homestand just a game out of first place in the MAAC standings. And when it comes to conference fan support, it's no contest. Siena is averaging nearly 6,000 fans per game - more than triple any other team in the league.

“I like to be a man of the people. It was fun to meet other students and ask them about their day. We're just trying to build excitement and get a big student push to our games."

“I was posted at the pasta station. People were definitely surprised. The pasta servers aren't usually so tall. It was a lot of fun. The place was packed."
