Cast

Angie Brandt is a social work major and is thrilled to be a part of this production of Twelfth Night at Siena College. She has had a passion for the performing arts since a young age in her hometown of Ravena, New York. With eight years of experience in theatre, Angie has had the privilege of participating in a diverse range of productions. Some of her favorite past roles include Ensemble in Footloose, Spot Collin and Buzen/Seitz in Newsies, Cousin Itt in The Addams Family, and Townsperson in Enemy of the People, where she honed her skills in acting, singing, dancing, and expressionism. She is excited about this production as it provides a unique opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who love theater as much as she does. Angie wants to thank all the friends and family who helped her embrace her love of theater.

Ella is a fourth-year Visual Art and Design major from Cadyville, NY. She is honored to play Olivia in Twelfth Night, her second and final production at Siena College after portraying Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. When she’s not on stage, Ella enjoys creating art and immersing herself in music. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this production and for the support of such a talented cast and crew, making her last show at Siena a truly special experience.

Anthony is ecstatic to play a role in this production, and thankful to the production team for the opportunity. Anthony is a Senior English major from Ballston Spa, NY. Other shows that Anthony has been involved in at Siena include The Importance of Being Earnest as Jack, Company as Theo, Doctor Faustus as Faustus, and Guys and Dolls as Lt. Brannigan. Anthony would like to thank the production team, his fellow cast members, and his mother for running lines on end for the past decade or so. He hopes you enjoy his final performance on Siena's mainstage!

Joseph is a junior Creative Arts/Theatre double major from Brooklyn New York, and this is his first Siena College Theatre production. He's previously acted in New Clean Energy in the Siena Climate Change plays and is a member of the Siena College chorus. He's an experienced performer acting in three films nominated for awards, he's directed and produced a concert on campus Our Story: An Evening of Song, and if music be the food of love, he bets you guys will cheer on! He would also like to thank his family and his close friends back home for all the support and love they provide in his journey as an artist.

 

Adriana is a senior social work student from Schenectady, NY. She has been a part of multiple theater productions throughout the years. Transfering to Siena last year, she immediately spiked an interest in Stage III and the mainstage plays. Adriana’s most recent role with Siena College was Arvide in Guys and Dolls. Adriana is excited to take the stage again as the Priest in Twelfth Night. She is forever grateful for all the support she has received from friends, family, and directors throughout her last year in Siena’s theater productions. Sending love to all, enjoy the show!

Liam is a Sophomore double Creative Arts and Theatre major, this is actually Liam’s second show here at Siena, and is Liam’s second show getting to work with Sandy Boynton as the director. He had a blast getting to work with the wonderful cast and production team for this show as an actor and as a musician. He and many others put a lot of themselves into presenting this show, and he hopes you all enjoy the show as much as he and everyone else enjoyed being a part of the process.

Grey is so excited to be in their first Shakespeare play, Twelfth Night! They are a first year theatre major from Bethlehem, NY. They want to thank everyone who made this show possible. It has been a great learning experience. Enjoy the show!

Selyna is a second-year Visual Arts and Design major, and is ecstatic to be in her second Siena Theater production! In this production, Selyna takes on the role of Actor Stage Manager, performing duties as both a cast member and the Stage Manager. She was previously an ASM/A2 on Siena's production of Guys and Dolls last year.

Hassan is a second year Creative Arts and Theatre: Performance Track double major, with a Writing and Communications minor from Queens New York. He is a budding Siena performer, this is his second time performing in a Siena main stage production. In addition to playing Feste he also worked behind the scenes as one of the costume designers for Twelfth Night. He’s recently been in the club play ClownBar as Timmy, where he also doubled as the lead costume designer. He’s a seasoned performer in the capital region doing many local productions, shows with The Capital Repertory Theatre, and performing in the High School Musical Theatre Awards at Proctors. He hopes you’ll have a pleasurable night of fooling, and that he’ll be paid not one time but another for your pleasure!

Patrick is thrilled to have gotten to participate in another amazing Siena production. Patrick is a sophomore computer science education major from Warwick, NY. He loves theatre, writing, and playing video games when time allows. He's done theatre with Siena since he first stepped on campus, playing Hovstad in An Enemy of the People, Haemon in Stage III's Antigone, and around 8 different people in Guys and Dolls. Patrick is also the current secretary for Stage III's E-board who he would like to thank for their constant support of him and the arts on Siena. He'd also like to thank his loving girlfriend, family, and friends for always supporting him on his journey.

Daniel is a third-year Computer Science Major with an English Minor, and this is his seventh show at Siena! He'd like to thank his cats and family. Enjoy the show!

Lara is beyond grateful to be a part of her eighth and final mainstage production! She is a senior psychology major with a social work minor and theater certificate from Oceanside, NY! Her past shows at Siena include Guys and Dolls, Clown Bar, A Maze, An Enemy of the People, Dr. Faustus, Eurydice, Company, Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay!, She Kills Monsters and The Importance of Being Earnest. She is also the president of the theater club on campus, Stage III! She would like to give a huge thanks to Sandy and Krysta for their never ending support and always believing in her, the wonderful production team, Mike Lounello, and the amazing cast and crew for making her last production the most memorable! Break a leg everyone!

Krista is a senior Creative Arts/Theatre (Performance Track) double major with a Writing and Communications minor. She has been involved with the Theatre department since her freshman year and feels lucky to have seen its expansion through her time here. Favorite credits from her time at Siena include Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! (also directed by the wonderful Sandra Boynton) and A Maze. She would like to thank Sandy and her cast mates for being wonderful to work with and helping her have a fantastic final show. She would also like to thank her parents and Paige for always supporting her theatrical endeavors, Keira for her unending moral support, Jaime for chasing her around the stage with lights one last time, and Chris for really motivating her to stay in character.

Bella is very excited to be a part of this production of Twelfth Night! Bella is a third year English major from Latham NY. This is her first semester participating in theatre at Siena. Previously this semester she played Giggles in Stage III's production of Clown Bar. She would like to thank the cast for being so welcoming and hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Sarah is a senior theatre design and technology major from Westwood, New Jersey. This is her tenth and final production apart of Siena College’s theatre program. She is so excited to share her final performance on the MainStage with all of her friends! She would love to thank those who have been with her from day one at Siena College theatre! She would also love to thank her mom who helped her love for Shakespeare come alive and Sandy and Krysta for helping her show that love on the stage! Lastly she wants to thank Siena College Theatre for helping her get to where she is today both on and off the stage!

Emma Is excited for her first official theater performance at Siena. She is a Freshman, and an English major, and is ready for this exciting journey. As Shakespeare would say, "All the world's a stage."

Jayden is a junior majoring in Theatre Performance and Software Development from Glenmont, NY. Some recent shows he has been in are Siena's Guys and Dolls and Stage III's Clown Bar. He has been part of Siena theatre in both acting and stage management for A Maze. He would like to thank all those involved in making such a hyper-collaborative production, and he hopes you enjoy the show!

Creative Team

Nancy has had the opportunity to collaborate with Sandy as music director/choreographer in several productions including Cabaret-Adirondack Community College; Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Working-Schenectady County Community College; Measure for Measure-Siena College. She is an associate member of Will Kempe’s Players and has been involved with music and choreography for many productions including As You Like It, The Comedy of Errors and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. On the home front(Watertown, NY), Nancy is the Production Manager for the Trinity Concert Series; vocalist in Watertown Musica Viva, a 24-voice select a capella choir; handbell choir director at Stone Presbyterian Church and a frequent actor and music director for Watertown Lyric Theater. She has appeared with Music Theater North and the College Light Opera Company. Nancy holds a BFA in music/theater from Ithaca College and an MFA in theater/performance from Western Illinois University

Sandra (Sandy) returns to Siena to create an “Original Practices” production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Previously at Siena, she directed Ibsen’s The Enemy of the People, Dario Fo’s Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay, the devised “Destination Nowhere” (with clown colleagues Kristoph Di Maria and David Lane), Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, and William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. Sandy serves as Artistic Director of Will Kempe’s Players, an “Original Practices” collaborative touring summer Shakespeare and mounting occasional fall and winter productions. From 1991 to 2013, Sandy headed the SUNY Schenectady Performing Arts: Drama Program, directing and costuming over forty productions. She holds SUNY Chancellor’s Awards in Teaching and in Scholarship and Creative Activities, the American Shakespeare Center’s “Words in Action” Award, and an NEH Fellowship to study “Original Practices” at the American Shakespeare Center and at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Jaime is a senior Applied Physics major with a Theatre certificate and minors in Math and Spanish. She was Master Electrician for Company! (Fall 2022) and A Maze (spring 2024), and also had the pleasure of stage managing for An Enemy of the People (fall 2023). Jaime’s previous lighting design credits include The Pillowman (spring 2022), Tell Me That You’ll Not Forget Me (summer 2022), Eurydice (spring 2023), and Spring Cabaret (spring 2022-2024). Jaime is soaking up her last semester at Siena before beginning her PhD program in particle physics this fall. She thanks her theatre cohort for indulging her physics rants, and her physics cohort for indulging her theatre rants. Jaime extends her affectionate gratitude to her mentors, Mike Lounello and Dr. Krysta Dennis. She also congratulates her roommate Krista Rivers on surviving yet another near-death experience.

Dr. Krysta Dennis, Associate Professor of Creative Arts at Siena College, works as a theatre-maker, director, and playwright in the US and internationally. Krysta holds a dual PhD from the University of Kent in the UK and the Sorbonne in Paris, and trained as a performer at L’Ecole Jacques Lecoq. Krysta has acted as chair of dramaturgy since 2020 for Region 1 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Recent directing credits include: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Northeast Theatre Ensemble) The Turn of the Screw (Creative License), A Streetcar Named Desire (NETE), An Ideal Husband (NETE), Marjorie Prime (Theatre Voices), Aleda (Musicians of Ma’alwyck), and Arcadia (Siena College). She has published with Methuen, Contemporary Theatre Review, Interdisciplinary Network, Routledge, SPUR: The Council on Undergraduate Research, and the Pirandello Society of America.

Juliana is a Visual Artist and Scenic Designer residing in the Berkshires. She received her MFA in Scenic Design from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in 1999. She has designed operas for The Juilliard School, as well as plays and touring shows for The Acting Company. Juliana has designed dozens of shows in the Berkshires over the past 20 years for companies such as Berkshire Theatre Group, Shakespeare & Company, WAM Theatre, and Great Barrington Public Theater. She's designed shows at The Arena Stage in DC, Dallas Theater Center, and LA's Echo Theatre Company. She's worked with colleges such as UAlbany, Williams, MCLA, UMass, and Simon's Rock. Closer to Siena, you may have seen her work at CapRep where she designed the set for What The Constitution Means to Me in 2023. Mike is an experienced Designer & Innovator specializing in immersive experiences, audiovisual solutions, and entertainment design. Based in Albany, NY, he serves as Siena College’s Production Manager, overseeing designs and productions across campus. With over a decade in the industry, he has built a diverse portfolio spanning concerts, TV shows, and corporate events. In addition to his role at Siena, he is the Co-Vice Chair of Design, Technology, and Management for Region 1 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) and a board member at Shaker Ridge Country Club. Outside of work, Mike is an avid golfer, skier, and boater, bringing a blend of professionalism and playfulness to everything he does.

After 20 transformative years at Siena College, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have taught, mentored, and collaborated with such an inspiring community. Thank you to my colleagues, students, and the institution for your support. It has been an honor to contribute to Siena’s mission.

Sam is thrilled to be part of this production of Twelfth Night! This is her second show with the Siena Creative Arts Department, having been an assistant stage manager for the fall production of Guys and Dolls. Sam is also involved with Siena’s Stage III drama club and played the role of Bobo in Clown Bar. Sam hopes you enjoy the show!

Henry is a junior English major with a theater certificate and a writing minor from Rhode Island. Although he is usually a stage manager, he thoroughly enjoyed his first foray into the world of dramaturgy. Molly is an Upstate NY actor and stage combatant specializing in Shakespeare’s work. Since receiving her training and certification by the Society of American Fight Directors she has gone on to choreograph fights professionally and locally for theaters such as Will Kempe’s Players, Siena College, SLOC, ACT, SCT, Fort Salem, and SLCA. Favorite local acting credits include Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), Othello (Desdemona), Seminar (Izzy), and Twelfth Night (Viola/Cesario). She would like to thank her family, friends, and James for everything. Always.

Connor is thrilled to be collaborating with Siena's marvelous theatre community once again. Having graduated from Siena in 2021, Connor was involved with the Capitol Districts theatre scene in multiple capacities as a student, and has since taken his knowledge and experience in theatre making across the globe as a professional. He has also been a visual artist since before he could walk. Connor is beyond grateful to be returning to the place where he learned to harness and utilize his crafts, and to give back to this wonderful community in the best way he knows how, through creative expression and entertainment. Connor sincerely hopes you enjoy the show that the cast and crew has worked so hard on, and he would like to encourage all people reading this to embrace love and creativity in your day to day lives, for we have nothing without that.
