The Kieval Institute offers programs that advance mutual understanding and harmonious relationships between Jews and Christians at Siena and in the wider community.
The Kieval Institute’s programs bring the Franciscan vision of the college to life by creating a learning atmosphere in which the wealth of human diversity can be celebrated on campus.
The Institute provides programming that improves the academic environment for Jewish faculty and students by making research funds available, improving the library's holdings and by bringing major scholars to the campus.
In conjunction with AVI food service and the Vaad HaKashruth of the Jewish Community Federation, the Institute provides kosher food during its events.
These programs have created an opportunity for Jews and Christians to meet together to discuss areas of mutual concern, to express their diversity and rejoice in their commonalities.
