Laura Lachell ’10 says her Siena Experience is what drives her to volunteer in her community. “Recently, I have been appointed as a US Figure Skating ice dance judge to evaluate skaters as they develop their skills. I also serve as the SkateSafe chair for my local club promoting a safe environment for young athletes. These are both volunteer positions driven by my passion for ice skating.” Laura also served as an adjunct lecturer in Siena’s marketing department, offering her "real world" experiences in the classroom, and she volunteered on the BUDV450 executive panel to help evaluate students' capstone presentations.

Laura currently serves as the Director of Customer Success at Plug Power. She says her Siena curriculum’s focus on group projects is what helped her in her post-Siena journey. “Learning to work with others coming from different backgrounds, majors, and with sometimes competing objectives prepared me for my career.”

Looking back on her career so far, Laura says she always feels fulfilled when helping others find success. “It is extremely rewarding when my customers' businesses are successful because of something my team and I have helped them with.”

We congratulate Laura on her successes as a Saint who doesn’t sit on the sidelines!
