Active Undergraduate Research Projects

Active Undergraduate Research Projects

Students at Siena College are trained in the skills of a variety of science disciplines in the classroom throughout their education. They also have numerous opportunities to put those skills to practice performing undergraduate research. During the academic year, approximately 300 independent undergraduate research projects are carried out for college credit. Over the summer, approximately 80 students are supported to perform undergraduate research with faculty mentors, who push students to go beyond their textbooks and actively participate in the scientific endeavor.

Below is a listing of some current and past projects that have received external funding support. In addition to faculty obtaining external grant support, these research projects receive training and support, including conference travel, from CURCA, the HPCC, and the SAInT Center.
