The Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy calls the Siena College community to look beyond the boundaries of our campus in order to see how we may respond to the demands of justice that arise in our local area, our nation, and throughout the world.
Rooted in the Franciscan tradition of service and informed by the themes of Catholic Social Thought, the Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy creates formative educational opportunities for students through a process in which classroom learning is integrated with hands on service among the poor and marginalized.
By focusing on social justice issues we hope to develop in our students a deeper sense of responsibility to care for the poor and to become life-long advocates on behalf of those in need.
