Lewis Golub '53 was CEO and chairman of the Golub Corporation (Price Chopper Supermarkets) and a proud Siena alumnus, known for his philanthropy across the Capital Region. In 2010, his family established the Lecture Series in his honor to promote ethical business practices. Each year, the School of Business invites high-powered leaders to share their insights and speak about timely, relevant business topics – from sustainability to artificial intelligence. The event brings industry leaders, alumni, and board members to campus – along with our students, faculty, and staff – for what is now a School of Business signature event.

2025 Lecture
“Responsible Use of AI: Keeping Humanity in the Loop”
Speaker: Dr. Pamela Lirio, Professor, University of Montreal
Attendance: Over 160 people
The 2025 Lecture was delivered by Dr. Lirio, who has been named one of the world’s top experts in human resource management and AI. Dr. Lirio spoke alongside 2024 Golub speaker Jay Moore ‘87 in a fireside chat. The two sparked a conversation about evolving legal and environmental guidelines for AI and how the technology has changed so much in just one year. She shared a global perspective on how to ensure that human-to-human interaction and decision-making remains at the forefront, with special attention to the field of human resources.

Jay Moore ‘87, a member of the School of Business Advisory Council, delivered the 2024 Lecture. Jay brought his decades of corporate experience to the table, speaking about how the world of business is changing as AI rapidly expands. He shared the importance of ethical leadership during this time of change, and invited attendees to consider how to use AI to help their schools, businesses, and communities, while keeping moral considerations top of mind.
