Welcome to the School of Business!
As the Dean of the School of Business at Siena University, I am delighted to welcome you to our School and to Siena. The core mission of the School of Business is to offer a business education integrated with the liberal arts that is rooted in the Franciscan values of inclusivity and service. Our AACSB* accredited undergraduate and graduate programs develop versatile and socially responsible citizens with the skills to compassionately lead, serve, and succeed.
Our undergraduate and graduate programs are supported by our talented and dedicated faculty, and our enthusiastic and committed staff. Our advisory board, comprised of business executives, serve as partners in advancing the mission of the School of Business.
Located in the Capital Region of the State of New York, the School of Business offers:
- Undergraduate majors in Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and our customizable and flexible Business major that allows students to combine concentrations in two business disciplines
- Minors in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Development, Management & Marketing
- Graduate programs in MS in Accounting; MBA (with concentrations in Business Analytics, Marketing and Strategic Management); and MS in Business Analytics
- Graduate Advanced Professional Certificates in Data and Analytics; Fraud and Digital Forensics; Marketing; Strategic Management; Cybersecurity
- High impact experiential learning such as trading room with Bloomberg terminals
- Ten student organizations, several affiliated with national organizations
- A network of successful alumni dedicated to aiding fellow Siena graduates in their career development
- Focus on ethical, responsible business and management practices consistent with Siena’s Catholic Franciscan Tradition.
I am extremely proud that our work together is having a significant impact in the local, regional, national and global community. Our Societal Impact Plan advances our work in developing the regional community. Our students engage with service learning projects and research work with faculty. Our faculty is proud of their impact by way of conducting research on important social issues, by consulting with nonprofit organizations, and by offering their expertise to nonprofits. From the student outcome perspective, one year after graduation, 92.3% of our undergraduates are employed, in graduate school, or are employed and attending graduate school. (Data Source: 2020 Alumni Survey). Our graduates from the MS in Accounting program enjoy 100% employment placement rate.
