"This internship has provided me with a glimpse into the life of a lawyer and best prepared
me for the legal field. How to interact with clients and draft concise memoranda will be vital for
my success as a future attorney. In the first week of the internship I had already signed to take the

During the summer I was fortunate to have the opportunity to go to Washington and work at the American University College of Law more specifically their Clinic and helping their professors and law students, this was truly an amazing experience, I was able to talk to the clients, learn how to write legal memos, use law school programs such as Westlaw, work on cases, and go to a court hearing and watch how attorneys and student attorneys act in a court setting.

"This summer I had the opportunity to work at the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic. Under the supervision of Director Todd Ommen, I was assigned to work on several different issues alongside Pace Law School student interns. These issues ranged from a private nuisance claim to environmentally problematic state legislation, and while working, I developed strong legal research skills and a much deeper knowledge of legal processes. The fellowship was jump started by an introduction to both Westlaw and LexisNexis as legal research tools; tools that I used throughout the entirety of my fellowship. The experiences I had during this fellowship have shown me the vital role that litigation plays in helping communities and the environment."

"My experience with the PELC was both insightful and encouraging as it gave me the opportunity to see firsthand what working in environmental litigation is like and affirmed my interest in law as a career. This internship is one that I would recommend to anyone with an interest in the law and one that I am very grateful to have been a part of. Experiencing what working in law is like and familiarizing yourself with all the tools and procedures that you will be working with is incredibly valuable to any prospective law student."
