Interprofessional Complex Care (IPCC) Faculty Development Workshop
August 7-8, 2025
The Siena IPCC team has created a two semester course model to provide an interdisciplinary experience for students interested in health care that combines course content with experiential learning. Students work directly with clients in the role of supportive friend or family member. We work with local community partners to identify people who would benefit from working with the IPCC team.
Our vision is to bring together faculty teams from other liberal arts colleges for a two day workshop to develop their own IPCC program. We will do this by:
Describing our journey and important lessons learned
Sharing our curriculum
Sharing how we identified and onboarded community partners
Sharing student recruitment practices and
Creating a space for institutional teams to collaborate and envision their own IPCC program
The best part, all you need to do is get here, we’ll take care of your food and lodging expenses for the workshop.

I’m a biological anthropologist and public health professional. I teach global health and public health courses for nurses at Siena College. I’m interested in ways to help the US healthcare system take better care of its citizens. I look forward to working with you on your journey to better interprofessional collaboration and communication. I can ride a unicycle too.

Hello! I am a nurse and professor at Siena College where I teach mostly nursing students, but also other students interested in health careers. Striving to be healthy and whole myself and helping others to do the same is my aim at work and at home. A fun fact about me is that soccer is my favorite sport. I played in college and continued to play on local teams after college. Now I am just an avid fan!

Nice to meet you. I am a social worker and professor at Siena College. In addition to working with my amazing colleagues on the Interprofessional Complex Care Team, I teach micro and mezzo practice courses to social work majors. One of my hobbies outside of work is ranch riding. I compete at local shows with my trusty steed Tyler.
