TRAMPS LIKE US – THE NATION’S #1 BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN TRIBUTE BAND

Tramps Like Us brings over 32 years of road-tested musicianship that have won this band the hard-earned distinction of the planet’s most revered Bruce Springsteen Tribute band. Given high praise by dozens of publications, radio stations, music industry personnel, and the ONLY tribute band to be endorsed by members of "The Springsteen Camp" such as former producer and manager Mike Appel and the official Springsteen Radio Station: E Street Radio/Sirius XM.

Formed in 1990, Tramps Like Us has performed over 2000 concerts and have rocked well over 1 million fans!

Rockers and ballads delivered with the raw intensity and swagger reminiscent of the Boss himself, Tramps features a line up of seasoned and professional musicians with a repertoire of over 150 songs.

The group captures the classic Springsteen sound, and remains true to the spirit and energy of the music, while delivering them with the passion and conviction of the Boss. Unlike other "tribute" bands who attempt to impersonate or emulate their source in every respect, from looks to clothing to gestures, Tramps Like Us concentrates on the music itself.

*Please note: Tickets are limited due to venue capacity. Larger event spaces on campus were unavailable as they have concurrent event setups occurring.

FAQs

What do Siena students need to do/purchase?

Siena Students can attend all events except Bowman Orchards and the Tramps Like Us Concert for no cost. Students will receive an email to fill out their SaintsConnect Family Weekend Waiver which will allow them to pick up their wristband at the Family Weekend Registration table. They do not need to purchase the $15 guest ticket to attend the various events for the weekend.

Do I (parent, family, friend) need to purchase a Guest Ticket to visit my student?

If guests do not plan to attend any Family Weekend Events, they do not need to purchase a Family Weekend Ticket to visit campus. For example, if a family member is visiting only to bring a student off campus to dinner; a ticket is not required. Tickets are required to attend any of the events listed in the schedule above.

Are attending all events mandatory?

In purchasing the $15 Guest ticket you are free to attend any and all events listed on the schedule above (excluding the two add-on ticketed events). We encourage you to enjoy on campus events however attendance is of course not required.

I want to buy a Family Weekend t-shirt!

This year we are not holding presales for Family Weekend t-shirts. We will have merchandise for sale in person at the SSU Welcome Desk throughout the weekend and the Siena Bookstore will be open.

Can I register on campus in-person?

We encourage you to pre-register online, however you can register at the Registration table during the weekend’s events.

Do I need a ticket to attend Bingo?

This year we do not have a separate registration for our annual Bingo event. This event is included in the $15 Guest Ticket. We’ve sold out of this event with pre-registration  in the past and then had a large number of families not attend despite holding tickets. In order to avoid this issue we will be holding this event as a first come, first served style with a maximum capacity in the MAC. We encourage you to get there early to secure your spot.

Are there other off campus excursions besides Bowman Orchards?

If you want to spend time with your Siena Student off campus, there is plenty to do around the capital region! We will be posting a guide with other suggested local activities and events that you can enjoy on your own time if you are interested in activities other than the ones offered on campus.

What tickets do I need as a family member visiting my student?

The $15 Guest ticket grants you access to all of the events on the schedule EXCEPT the Bowman Orchards Apple Picking and the Tramps Like Us Concert. All other events do not have pre-registration.

Do I need a ticket for my child under the age of 5?

Children under the age of 5 do not need a guest ticket for on campus events during Family Weekend. If they are attending the Bowman Orchard trip, they will need a ticket for that trip if over the age of 2 per Bowman Orchards guidelines.

Why is capacity limited for some events?

Due to fire code and capacity limitations some spaces can only accommodate so many people. We attempt to hold events in the largest spaces possible and available to accommodate as many students and families as best we can.

Are overnight guests allowed?

Guests staying overnight need to be registered by their Siena Student via the Guest Registration form. Please refer to the guidelines regarding overnight guests on the form. Please note overnight guests must be: registered at least 48 hours prior to the guest’s arrival, 17 years or older and of traditional College age, and the same sex.

Why doesn’t my Bowman Orchard Ticket include transportation this year?

Due to past demand, transportation to and from the Bowman Orchard excursion is now optional. We found a majority of attendees prefer to drive themselves to the orchard, therefore we’re switching over to an opt-in model for transportation where you can add transportation to your ticket package for $5.00

What would you recommend for lodging?

There are a number of hotels within a very short drive to Siena’s campus. We recommend searching for hotels in the areas surrounding Albany to get a variety of options.
