What has your educational journey looked like?

If I didn't work in higher education I would... 
Work in training/staff development/coaching. I love working one-on-one with people to understand themselves and realize their fullest potential.

If you could instantly become an expert in any field, what would it be
I would love to be a language expert! I think communication is super important and I would love to know all the world's languages.

What is your everyday superpower? 
I like to think I'm good at helping resolve conflicts.

 

What does your ideal summer day look like
I love a day at the beach followed by a BBQ on the grill. 

What do you enjoy about working in Student Activities? 
I love working closely with students to develop into their most authentic selves!

What has your educational journey looked like?

If I didn't work in higher education I would... 
Own a ranch with lots of land for so many rescue dogs.

If you could instantly become an expert in any field, what would it be? 
Become an expert chef! I can follow a recipe and pick up ingredients to make something. But I would love to be able to look in a fridge/pantry and instantly know some elaborate and delicious meal I can make with all the ingredients. Or have something at a restaurant and be able to say that I can make that at home.

What is your everyday superpower? 
Organization - whether it be Excel sheets or an office space, my brain loves order and structure.

What does your ideal summer day look like? 
A sunny day on the lake with my pup and my paddleboard.   

What do you enjoy about working in Student Activities? 
Supporting the growth and development of our students as they navigate leadership positions is so rewarding when you see them succeed and thrive throughout their time in college.

If I didn't work in higher education I would... 
Open a coffee shop/winery/bookstore on the Oregon coast.

If you could instantly become an expert in any field, what would it be? 
Dinosaurs, definitely dinosaurs. 

What is your everyday superpower? 
I am a solid thrifter! I love finding funky and unique items for my closet or home. Plus I am a big fan of keeping items out of the landfill and eliminating fast fashion. I believe the things you own should have a story!  

What does your ideal summer day look like? 
A book, a coffee shop with a patio, and preferably near a body of water. If I could go explore somewhere new every day of the summer, I would!    

What do you enjoy about working in Student Activities? 
Getting to be a part of this season of life for students is amazing. There is so much formation that happens in college and I love that I have a chance to walk alongside students as they navigate the challenges and celebrate with them as they succeed.

If I didn't work in higher education I would...
Be working at the St. Francis Inn soup kitchen in Philadelphia (join us for a trip there over Spring Break/Winter Break sometime)!

If you could instantly become an expert in any field, what would it be
I'd love to be an expert coach in any sport!

What is your everyday superpower
Patience.

What does your ideal summer day look like?
Wake up early, have an espresso, take a long walk, and watch some Yankees baseball with friends!

What do you enjoy about working in Student Activities? 
I love being able to interact with students every day. They are the reason the college exists and they are the reason I do this job. I love watching them grow in their leadership roles and bring their event ideas to fruition!

I would still be working to  help people just in a different way.

I would be an elite level marathon runner.

What is your everyday superpower? 
Keeping vibes positive and everyone feeling supported

What does your ideal summer day look like
An early morning run followed by a day poolside or at the beach with my family!

What do you enjoy about working in Student Activities? 
The students, the energy, and the chance to help turn ideas into experiences!
