Siena UNIVERSITY is honored to recognize the accomplishments of Ronald A. Matos as the recipient of the 2024-2025 award.
Ronald A. Matos has dedicated his career to ensuring the health and safety of the Siena community. With a background in law enforcement, including 21 years with the Albany Police Department, Ron has led strategic initiatives to improve emergency response efforts, collaboration, and efficiency within campus safety operations. He is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and has worked hard to ensure Siena’s Public Safety team can respond successfully to any situation. Officers and staff have been trained to respond to every member of the Siena community with dignity and respect for all. His colleagues describe his leadership as “a testament to the best of what we want for our community.”
