William 'Bill' McGoldrick ’68 has served on the Siena College Board of Trustees since 2018.  During that time, he has served on the Governance and Strategic Growth Committees and is currently Chair of the Governance Committee.

Bill has worked in higher education his entire professional career and has served on staff at four different institutions during that time.  In the mid 1990’s, Bill founded his own fundraising consulting firm which has served more than 250 institutions around the world.

He has served on several philanthropic Boards including Unity House and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.  Bill currently serves on the Board of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany, 

He was an English major and editor of the student newspaper, which was then called The Indian.  He was involved in student government, played lacrosse, and was a Big Brother. 

In addition to being an alumnus of Siena College, Bill earned a master’s degree in public communication at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University in 1973.  Bill and his wife, Betsi, live in Latham and have a daughter, Meg, and a granddaughter, Rory.  

A native of Queens, NY, Bill is an avid Yankees fan and an avid golfer with 114 courses on his list of places played.  His three favorites are Royal County Down, Pine Valley and Sea Island Seaside Course.
