Dr. Suru is a psychiatry resident at Albany Medical Center, where he provides care for adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and his medical degree from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His clinical interests include consult-liaison psychiatry and early intervention through supportive therapy to promote long-term mental wellness. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Suru teaches medical students and participates in scholarly activities, including research in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and quality improvement initiatives. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing pickleball and other net sports, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, spending time outdoors, and watching horror movies and reality television.
