My passion for philosophy began during my undergraduate years at Marlboro College. I took one class and was hooked for life. I am especially interested in German Idealism, with a special emphasis on Hegelian metaphysics, as well as 19th and 20th century existentialism. Here at Siena, I teach courses in the history of western philosophy, ranging from the ancient Greeks all the way to 20th century European philosophy. As a philosopher who trained in the Continental tradition, I emphasize a historical approach to the questions and answers philosophers have advanced through the ages.
