Katrina joined Siena College’s Counseling Center in September 2023. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from St. Bonaventure University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. She received her License of Mental Health Counseling in 2006. She has over 20 years of experience in providing clinical counseling to children, teens, and adults in a variety of areas including depression, anxiety, developmental disabilities, trauma, and issues related to family systems. Katrina uses a strengths-based approach and integrates components of cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapies. Her counseling style is empathic and collaborative.

Katrina views mental health as an important part of one’s overall health and well-being. She promotes mindfulness and healthy coping strategies to help manage stress and challenges in life. Her goal is to provide individually tailored counseling that helps students develop skills that promote positive changes. Katrina is happy to be a support to Siena students!

Outside the office, Katrina enjoys spending time with family, going on lots of walks with her dog, hiking, biking, yoga, and discovering new dishes to cook. Katrina is honored and excited to be part of the supportive community at Siena!
