Fr. Julian A. Davies, O.F.M., a native of Utica, N.Y., entered the Franciscan Order in 1953, made his first profession on August 13, 1954, and was ordained to the priesthood on March 12, 1960. He holds a Ph.D. from Fordham University and taught Philosophy at Siena from 1970 until he retired in May 2015.

In addition to his teaching, Fr. Julian's ministerial activities have included serving as Siena College Archivist, and Editor of the Holy Name Province Provincial Annals. He has been active in Marriage Encounter and Marriage Retorno. He has published two translations of works of the Franciscan William of Ockham, and written a text book: A Philosophy of the Human Being. He often celebrates Mass at St. Joseph's Provincial House in Latham and in parishes of the Albany Diocese. He has been active in the cruise ship ministry as well.

Favorite pastime: an avid fan of Siena basketball in particular and sports in general.
