Fr. Ignatius Smith is one of the vicars of the friary.
Fr. Ignatius grew up in NE Washington DC. He met the friars at what was then our house of studies there. Ignatius was ordained in 1956 and spent ten years as a missionary in Brazil. then spent 23 years in the Chaplain's Corp of the United State Navy. When he returned to the province, he spent over 15 years as the pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Callicoon, NY. For the last several years he has been at Siena, serving at the St. Francis Chapel on Wolf Road in Colonie.
