Professor Lane has taught acting, improv and performance across New England and at Dell’Arte International in Blue Lake, California. For three years, he was the Director of the Plays in Process Festival, a new play development program for young playwrights at the University at Albany. Professor Lane is regular contributor to the internationally recognized Old Trout Puppet Workshop and in the summer is the co-director of the New England Puppet Intensive in Williamstown, MA. As a street performer, he has toured coast-to-coast and played Lincoln Center’s Out-of-Doors Festival, the Calgary International Children’s Festival, and many more. He just finished work on a television special called The First Christmas Present which will air on Canadian television in 2014 and is currently developing a play about the Nazi appropriation of art during WWII and Rose Valland who helped save countless European paintings from being lost forever. Professor Lane holds an MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College and is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Arts at Siena. He will direct Copenhagen by Michael Frayn this coming spring.
